The word “homemade” sounds so daunting, but it isn’t. This pizza sauce recipe can actually be made with leftover pasta sauce or a good jar sauce. No I’m not a fan of jar sauce but well… if I’ve pulled it off so can you – just don’t tell anyone. In honesty, homemade is always better though and that is why I’ve posted on my site a very simple recipe for pizza sauce.
I’ve created my own homemade pizza sauce recipe with the quantities I use. You can add or change whatever you want. However, you do not have to make it from scratch if you already have some pasta sauce on hand. Simply add the tomato paste and oregano and heat thoroughly. Cook it for about 15-20 minutes over low- medium heat until the flavor is just right. It really is that simple.
Enjoy!
