Here is an easy way to create some tasty garlic bread next time you are cooking a meal. It makes a great companion food for roasted chicken with garlic and olive oil, pasta recipes, or even soup.
Roast the garlic in the oven as you normally would, check out my post on how to roast garlic if you don’t know. It’s very easy.
When the garlic is finished, toast some bread – I had ciabatta bread on hand, but another artisan bread would do. No need to drizzle olive oil if you used the olive oil when roasting the garlic – unless you think it needs more olive oil.
Then take the garlic and spread it on the bread.
It will be potent, so you might want to mash the garlic in a bowl and let everyone spread their own amounts – just as you would butter.
This is a healthy easy Italian recipe requiring little effort. I do suggest making sure fresh parsley is around afterward to munch on to help remove the garlic taste from your mouth/breath.
Enjoy!
