When I was in my early teens I remember taking some ground beef and making hamburgers. I knew nothing about baking or cooking. In fact I thought I could add anything to anything and it would be fine. Well, that didn’t last long when my father flipped out when he realized I had put vanilla in with the meat! He asked why I put it in vanilla and I said I just grabbed it from the spice cabinet. Needlesstosay, his expression made it clear to me that was NOT the right way to cook!
Now many years have passed and my cooking skills have developed and my father enjoys my cooking. Although I still make him along with my husband taste test my cooking when I’m over for a visit. I love simple recipes because I don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen and I don’t want to order out every night either. The best feeling is being able to whip up a healthy good tasting italian meal in no time without hours of labor behind the counter. So please enjoy my recipes, some are my own, some are from my parents, friends and in-laws. If you have any you want me to try let me know if it passes my “simplicity” test I’ll be glad to post it online!
Now you can check out my recipes along with recommended cookbooks and kitchenware all designed around simplicity at: www.simpleitaliancooking.com. In fact if it’s not simple, I don’t post it!
Sincerely,
