Italian Christmas Music by Italian Artists

Using Italian music to celebrate the Christmas season is a wonderful idea. Here are some suggestions for what to play throughout the evening including suggestions for holding your own Christmas party. From Frank Sinatra's Christmas Music to Dean Martin's Christmas Music or Pavarotti's Christmas Music here are some ideas. By the way, if you click on the artist link, you can listen to music samples from each album.
Featured Artist: Frank Sinatra

Music for Company and Guests:
Typically you would want to use energizing and uplifting music playing when the guests arrive. The volume level should be noticeable but not so loud that people have to raise their voices to hold a conversation. If the music becomes too loud for your guests they will either "endure" the event or simply leave early. You want your guest to be happy and jovial, therefore it is important that the music reflects this mood.

Music for Dinner:
This is when everyone is served dinner either at a table or buffet. Again, we don't want our guests to be falling asleep at the table, so the music should not be slow and devoid of rhythm. The music should be played softly in the background where it is barely noticeable. In other words, if there is a lull in conversation, you don't want to be caught up in listening to the music rather than engaging in conversation around you. A good suggestion would be an album that includes familiar Christmas hymns which are recognizable but not distracting.
