Talk about making your mouth water! The aroma from this dish
is utterly amazing. However, I recommend a simple variation/substitution
which is slightly healthier. I do not like eating sausage because
it is so hard on the digestive system and is loaded with saturated
fat.
Therefore I suggest trying chicken sausage or turkey sausage,
but look for the All Natural or Organic brands because most
non-organic brands have sodium nitrates (usually the last ingredient
listed) which is not good for you at all. Read more about my
take on organics on my simpleitaliancooking
blog and why organic doesn't always mean healthy.
