When planning your Easter Italian desserts, there are endless options. The best part of planning in advance, is that you have time to be as creative or as traditional as you’d like.
Here at SimpleItalianCooking.com I’m about authenticity, but also simplicity. Sometimes that means making modifications to cut out a few extra steps thanks to modern ingredients or products.
I hope you find some inspiration with this list. Be as Italian as you want, even if you yourself are not Italian. My own mother has no Italian blood in her, but she has it in her heart. So, no matter who you are or where you’ve come from, feel free to use these recipes for Italian desserts and have a wonderful Easter!
What Goes with an Italian Dessert for Easter
Since Easter typically occurs in early Spring, consider using complimentary foods related to the season. That’s why so many of these desserts include lemon – it’s bright and well, makes us welcome Spring.
You can also make more than one Italian dessert for Easter. If you want to make a light cake, then consider adding some chocolate wafers or other chocolate finger food.
If you choose a heavy or sweet dessert, make sure to serve it with something to help freshen the palette, such as sparkling water. Espresso or an espresso drink will be a lovely match.
Should you choose a dessert that is light, I suggest serving with a latte or complimentary drink.
